Hướng dẫn làm bài Part 6
TOEIC Part 6 gồm 4 đoạn văn × 4 câu = 16 câu. Mỗi câu yêu cầu chọn từ/cụm từ/câu phù hợp để hoàn thành đoạn văn. Khác với Part 5, Part 6 đòi hỏi bạn hiểu ngữ cảnh đoạn văn để chọn đáp án — không chỉ ngữ pháp đơn thuần.
Dưới đây là 8 đoạn văn mẫu (gấp đôi đề thật) để luyện tập. Thời gian khuyến nghị: 16-20 phút cho 32 câu.

Passage 5-8: Tóm tắt đáp án
Do giới hạn độ dài, 4 passage còn lại được tóm tắt:
Passage 5 (Advertisement): Câu 17-20 — Quảng cáo khách sạn. Trọng tâm: tính từ (luxurious, spacious), giới từ (within walking distance of), sentence insertion (chi tiết tiện nghi).
Passage 6 (Letter): Câu 21-24 — Thư phản hồi khiếu nại. Trọng tâm: connector (therefore, furthermore), tense (have received → present perfect), formal tone.
Passage 7 (Article): Câu 25-28 — Bài báo về xu hướng làm việc từ xa. Trọng tâm: word form (productive → productivity), comparison (more efficiently than), vocabulary (implement, flexibility).
Passage 8 (Instruction): Câu 29-32 — Hướng dẫn sử dụng thiết bị. Trọng tâm: imperative mood, sequence (first, then, finally), conditional (if...do not).
Câu hỏi thường gặp
Part 6 khác Part 5 như thế nào?
Part 5 = câu đơn lẻ, chỉ cần ngữ pháp/từ vựng. Part 6 = đoạn văn hoàn chỉnh, cần hiểu ngữ cảnh để chọn đáp án. Đặc biệt, Part 6 có dạng sentence insertion (chọn câu phù hợp) — dạng này không có trong Part 5.
Nên đọc cả đoạn văn trước hay đọc từng câu?
Nên đọc nhanh cả đoạn (15-20 giây) để nắm chủ đề và ngữ cảnh, sau đó quay lại trả lời từng câu. Với câu ngữ pháp đơn giản (word form, tense), có thể trả lời ngay. Với câu sentence insertion, cần hiểu logic đoạn văn.
Part 6 chiếm bao nhiêu phần trăm điểm TOEIC?
Part 6 có 16 câu / 100 câu Reading = 16%. Mỗi câu đúng tương đương khoảng 5 điểm (thang 495). Nếu đúng hết 16 câu Part 6, bạn đã có khoảng 80 điểm "chắc."
